Founded in 1890, John Stewart Walker was not only an entrepreneur, but was also a pioneer in local and statewide real estate activities. He was the first area broker to pass the National Association of Real Estate Board examination and qualify to be an appraiser in Virginia. John Stewart Walker left his firm in the capable hands of his son George C. Walker, Sr. and then to George “Buster” C. Walker, Jr. and William “Billy” M. Walker, current owners.
